The South West Slopes Merino Breeders Annual Field Day provides a day full of interest and enjoyment for sheep breeders and visitors alike with a wide range of Merino sheep genetics on show. The Stud displays are under cover of marquees at an iconic venue which offers a combination of excellent facilities and local history. The Field Day is normally held at St Clements Retreat in Galong NSW.
A very warm welcome is extended to everyone attending our Annual Field Day. This is a day allowing time to meet and talk with people who are passionate leaders in the production, marketing and retail of Merino Sheep and Wool.
St Clements offers overnight accommodation, has a museum displaying it’s history, and during the Field Day there will be guided tours of the Retreat and grounds for those interested. As in previous years there will be Ram competitions, the Commercial Ewe Competition, and a Fashion Parade displaying woollen apparel to add contrast to the sheep displays. There will also be commercial displays of sheep related products and equipment plus woollen finished products for sale.
